Updates!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update you on a few things. First, if you have checked the website calendar lately, you have seen that there are not any available dates marked. Well, this is right! The next two open sessions I have are December 18 and 19. However, I do have a 'waiting list' in case of cancelations. If you are interested in a session, you can sign up for the waiting list. Cancelations do happen.

Second, as you know I am back in college working on my Elementary Education degree. I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that next semester I will be starting PFY. PFY is basically a bunch of hardcore methods classes that teach me how to teach. So, I am going to cut down on the available sessions from January-May. The good news is that I do not have any summer classes to take in 2011, so I will have many many more sessions available! I am even taking a few weddings. (Three so far!) I will be updating the calendar for 2011 as soon as I know my spring schedule. That should be sometime in late October and I will start booking sessions for 2011 in November.

And since blog posts are boring without any photos. Here ya go! :)

Mini Sessions

The weather was absolutely perfect for mini sessions. Not too hot, not too cold. A little bit cloudy on Saturday. Awesome. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Tasha - RHS Class of 2011 (Pt. 2)

Tasha and I met to finish the last half of her session. We went over the river(s) and through the woods to get to a location up in the hills. It was absolutely gorgeous! Here are just a few from her session.

Me and Oliver

Last year I got yelled at by multiple people for not having a PICTURE Christmas card. I just sent out boxed ones... How could I?! Well, the lighting was great out in the trees last night (my favorite part of my parent's yard) and I asked my mom, "If I change, will you take some pictures of me?" After a brief look of fright, she agreed. After I set up the camera and a quick lesson on what to do, she didn't do so bad. Although, according to her, my camera has too many buttons. :)

The Heesch Family!

I met this awesome family somewhere near Veblen. The location is top secret. Just kidding... I probably couldn't even get back there if I tried, but it was SO worth the drive as it was absolutely gorgeous! Here are a few from their session.

Deegan!

Deegan came to visit me yesterday. We fixed his car and took his tractor out to work in the field. Busy day!

Here is a helpful method when fixing your 'broken' car:

Nicki - BHS Class of 2011

Before I spent the afternoon and evening painting and cleaning at my brother's new house, I spent the morning with Nicki! She is super fun and I had a blast hanging out with her! We met at her grandparent's lake cabin and basically just wandered around finding awesome locations for pictures! Here are a few from her Senior session!

There was the best 'stuff' around her grandparent's cabin! I could have taken pictures there all day!

I had told her we were done, but then said "Wait, I lied. Let's do something else.' I'm so glad we did! This photo is one of my favorites.

Thanks again for being so awesome! I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. :)

The K Girls!

These sweeties came to visit me again! You may remember them from their newborn shoot. They have grown so much and are working on some new teeth, too! It was so fun to watch them smile and discover new things.. like grass! Here are a few from their session-

The I Family

I am a firm believer that family portraits are so, so important. (And not just because I'm a photographer! =] ) If it's your immediate family or extended and whether you are a new family or an old family. It is so important to capture that moment in time so that when you look back, you have the evidence that it actually happened! :) Here are some from the "I" family session-

Cousins

I can't believe it's September already. Here is some end of summer cuteness!
