Samantha - RHS Class of 2011

There is one word to sum up Sam- Adorable! I am so glad her and her family moved to the area a few years ago and I have loved getting to know them! She has such a great fashion sense and she should probably give me a few pointers... and some of her shoes. :)

I was so excited when she said she wanted to do this idea. It'll make for a great graduation announcement!

Your gallery will be up verryyy soon! Check your email tonight! :)

Taylor - HHS Class of 2011

Taylor's session got split in half due to super windy and a tad bit rainy weather. (In the Dakotas? No way.) We dodged the wind the first day just enough to let her hair still be able to play in the wind. Love it!

I love morning/evening sunlight. I believe I have said that before, but I'll say it again! :)

Thanks for being so fun to work with, Taylor! Your gallery will be up soon!

Miranda - BHS Class of 2011

Miranda was another fun and beautiful Senior that I had this month.  Her gallery is already up for her, so this isn't much of a sneak peek for her, but you all get to enjoy a few!

She was so much fun to hang out with. You can just tell by this picture!

Aubrey is 1!

Aubrey turned 1 and she came into the studio to celebrate with me this morning! Her brother even joined in on the fun!

Her cake smashing was really more of a cake picking. :)

Thank you for making time to visit me while you are staying with Grandma!

Everett is here!

I finally got to meet Everett! (He was in that belly up in the blog header.) He was 4 weeks old exactly on his session day and it was great seeing his parents again! Here are a few from that day-

Here is one of E and his dad. If you are a fan on Facebook, you already saw one of him and his mom!

So sweet!

Custom Wine Labels!

After my session this morning, my neighbor came over to show me her newest addition to the flower shop. Custom label wines! These two are Rosholt designs and there are Victor and New Effington wines coming by the end of the week.

While you're in town for the Bee this weekend, be sure to stop by Alsaker Floral and pick up a few! These custom labels would also be great for weddings or anniversaries! If you are interested, let us know! You can check out Alsaker Floral's website or give them a call at 605-537-4766 for more information about the wines.

Nicholas and Sarah are Married!

I have known Nicholas since he was born and I've known Sarah for quite a few years now, too. These two started dating in high school, soon after Sarah and her family moved to the same school Nick went to. They are so laid back and I couldn't have asked for a better couple to work with!

This is one of my favorites from the pictures we took at the park. It was really windy that day, so our plans of Lake Elsie were ruined, but luckily the park is sheltered and we still had lots to work with!

During their first look, all Nick said was, "Hey you." followed by a hug. Short and sweet. :)

The ring bearer and his 'partner,' as he called her, were so darn cute! The flower girl informed me that kissing was gross after he kissed her hand. :)

The whole wedding party was so awesome and they're pretty darn good looking, too!

The ceremony was beautiful! Father always gives great sermons and he did the same at the wedding.

And requested by the bride... the infamous jumping picture! :)

Thank you again, Nick and Sarah! I hope you had fun in Duluth!

Definitely Two!

As most of you know, I have a super adorable niece. She models for my mom's Etsy shop and any time I want her to. :) I always hear, 'Grace must be so easy to take pictures of!' Well, people... let me tell you something. She is two. Yes... TWO! *duh duh duhhhhhh* She is independent, stubborn, and well... two. I love her to death, but sometimes she makes me work a little more. I would like to show you a few examples from yesterday with commentary:

I asked her "Gracie, can you smile for me?" and this is what I get.

I tell her "Grace come over here and sit on the chair." and this is what I get.

I ask her, "Grace, can you put the apples in your basket?" and she says, "Mah appoos. I hold." (And please notice the puppy butt in the background.)

I tell her, "Grace, come smell the flowers." and she smells the pepper.

I tell her, "Smile at Auntie!" and I get this...

I say, "Grace, what are you doing?" She says, "I eatin'."

And this... well, I'm not sure.

I say "Grace, just one more picture." and I get this.

But then I get this....

and this.

And I'm a happy aunt. :)

Tasha - RHS Class of 2011 (Pt. 1)

Tasha and I met for the first part of her Senior session last week. Second half happens next month and I'm so excited for the location we'll be at!  Here are just a few of Tasha-

Tasha is another member of the awesome track team. Look at all those trophies and medals!

You can see Tasha and her horse in action next Saturday at the Threshing Bee in Rosholt, SD! Check out the Facebook page for the Horse Show Event for more information!
