As you know, we got A LOT of snow last week! My brothers, my sister in laws, my niece, my parents, and I were all stormed in for a few days. We had a Harry Potter marathon, ate lots of food, and found other things to do. But, even Oliver and Dooker were bored after a while.
Once it stopped snowing, we ventured over to my grandparent's house to visit.
And it was also time to clean out the snow. (Well, the boys cleaned it as we watched.)
Grace and I both documented this snowy Christmas week! :)
And the whole family was finally able to celebrate all together on Sunday. Here is Grace, showing off her Christmas dress!
I hope you all had a great Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
I've had a cold since the end of last week (at least it started after finals!) and I'm hoping it's almost done. Coughing, sneezing, sniffling... etc. :( I couldn't sleep tonight, so I decided to show you my parents' Christmas cards this year.
They were a 5x5 tri-fold card featuring pictures I took in May. Rusty writes the Christmas letter every year, so he gets the entire back to himself!
This is how it looks when it's flattened out. Here you will see the inside flap of the card, the back of the card, and the front.
Here is the inside spread.
I already have an idea for next year's cards for them. I will just have to attempt to get my family all together and get them to take another family picture. :)
and.....
There is still time to get your nominations in for the 2009 Giveaway!
It's easy to do and doesn't hurt at all, I promise! You can really put a smile on someone's face this Christmas. Just be sure to email your nominations to renaealane32@hotmail.com by Christmas Eve night!

Mr. V is 3!
We've got another birthday boy on our hands! I took this a few weeks ago, you know before his mom and I were crazy from finals. :) His mom and I have had classes together the past three semesters and have gotten to be good friends! When I came over a few weeks ago to take his pictures, he was SO excited! Today is Mr. V's birthday and I just wanted to wish him the best birthday ever!

Oh Christmas Tree
For those that haven't figured it out.... I LOVE Christmas! :) I also love winter, but most get mad at me when I say that. Haha! I always like to decorate for Christmas and I just wanted to show off my tree this year!
And now for Oliver's Christmas pictures this year. :) He sits so nice for me!
"Are you done, yet?"
If you haven't signed up for the newsletter, there is still time! I haven't sent out the December issue just yet and the coupon in this issue is a good one!
Also stay tuned for a few more blog posts next week. I have my last sessions of the year over the weekend and I will probably be posting another post of more Holiday decorations. If you think my tree is pretty, just wait until you see my parent's! It's gorgeous!

Hard Hits
My brother works for the Tri-City Storm now and they were in Fargo to play the Force. Like always, I brought my camera to the games and got some awesome shots. Even though it's a good image of the team celebrating, I was a upset to see it had been used on the website with out my permission:
The image has since been taken down, and still no reply from the website administrators. Obviously, they know this is a huge offense. I'll admit, I got some pretty awesome shots this weekend. They problem is - No one asked and they did not have my permission before they used it. Copyrights, people... copyrights.
Kind of makes me want to try this on 'em:
This could cause quite the controversy...
Even the other team is ashamed.
Okay... STOP! *screeches to a halt*
This post needs some happy.. What's more jolly than Santa?! :)
One of my favorite parts of hockey is the hard hits. I now give you a collection of hits from the weekend.
Really though, the watermark across the photo is there for a reason. Please understand copyrights and why they are important! If you still don't get it.. think of it as going to a restaurant, eating, and leaving without paying.

Happy Thanksgiving... Again! :)
This is how I spent my Thanksgiving day! With my family always expanding, it's nice to keep the portraits updated, too. I brought some of my equipment to my grandparents and set up in their living room! Here are a few shots from the day:
Elana is all smiles!
Little Kylie from a few posts before. Isn't she sweet?
Elana's big brother, Landyn.
Baby K, again. At just 5 lbs 12oz, the little children's Santa hat looks so big on her!
Little K and her big (and very proud!) brother, Brayden.
Those are just a few of them! I may post some later!

Happy Thanksgiving!
The studio is all decked out for Christmas already! Christmas is my favorite time of the year, although Thanksgiving isn't all that bad either!
I am Thankful for all the blessings He has given me. Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!
Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving. ~W.T. Purkiser
